Privacy Policy
Last updated · June 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information LAKSH ("we", "us") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the LAKSH app, website, and related services. By using LAKSH you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account info: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your name and profile picture from your Google account.
- Goal & onboarding data: the goals you set, your onboarding answers, schedules, deadlines, and related notes you enter.
- Check-ins & proof photos: the photos you submit as proof of a task, plus the check-in details around them.
- Progress data: XP, levels, ranks, streaks, badges, and similar usage and activity information.
- Device identifier: a random anti-abuse identifier we store on your device (in the iOS Keychain) to enforce per-device free-usage limits.
- Notification preferences: your reminder times and related settings.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active plan. Payments are handled by Stripe — we do not collect or store your full card number.
- Technical data: basic logs and information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: create your account, generate roadmaps, and run your daily loop.
- To generate AI roadmaps and to review your proof photos using AI (see Section 3).
- To power gamification (XP, streaks, ranks, badges) and send the notifications you set.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and enforce usage limits and our Terms.
- To provide support, fix problems, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing
To generate your roadmap and to validate your check-in "proof," we send the relevant content — including your goal text and onboarding answers, and your proof photos — to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes it to return results to us. We share only what's needed to provide these features.
4. How we share information (service providers)
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the Service:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (hosts your data).
- Anthropic — AI processing of goal text and proof photos (see Section 3).
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Google — if you choose Google sign-in.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of LAKSH, our users, or the public.
5. How we protect your data
Your data is stored in a Postgres database protected by Row-Level Security, so each user can only access their own rows. Proof photos are kept in a private storage bucket scoped to your user ID, and data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account, after which we delete your associated data (goals, roadmaps, check-ins, proof photos, and progress).
One exception: to prevent abuse of our free AI features, the per-device usage record (tied to the anonymous device identifier, not your name or email) may be retained even after your account is deleted. We may also retain limited information where required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example under the GDPR or CCPA). To exercise these rights, email lakshai.support@gmail.com. We do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Children
LAKSH is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
We and our providers may process and store your information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries, which may have different data-protection laws.
10. Cookies & local storage
On the web, we use cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences needed to run the Service. The mobile app uses on-device storage for the same purposes. We don't use them to sell your data.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, in-app or by updating the date above). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
